Stuttgart-based event is set to celebrate its tenth birthday from 14 to 16 May 2024

The car wash and petroleum sectors are meeting at UNITI expo, the biennial trade fair in Stuttgart from 14 to 16 May this year. Three days to meet exhibiting companies, participate in meetings and create business opportunities in an exhibition space divided into four different themed areas: "Technology, payments and logistics", "Car wash and car care", "Oil companies and fuel retailers", "Shops and services". A trade fair that in past editions has recorded successful numbers for the segment: in 2022 there were more than 430 exhibiting companies, with 16,000 participants from 100 different countries. As the event approaches, the organising companies UNITI-Kraftstoff GmbH and com-a-tec GmbH report on the innovations planned for this edition.

Elmar Kühn, Managing Director of UNITI-Kraftstoff GmbH and event organizer, and Ben Boroewitsch, CEO of com-a-tec GmbH and responsible for exhibitor acquisition at UNITI expo, trace the history of the exhibition from its first edition, 10 years ago. "Our exhibition space has been the scenario for a remarkable transformation, with companies consistently pushing the boundaries by showcasing cutting-edge technologies and groundbreaking solutions in each edition", says Elmar Kühn. " The event’s global reach has also expanded, thanks to its international impact and various initiatives to ease travel arrangements, including accommodation packages. Professionals from around the world have been increasingly gathering at the trade show, reflecting its role as a global hub for the industry," UNITI Managing Director continues. "The ongoing support of exhibitors and cooperation partners since our inaugural edition is also proof of UNITI expo’s enduring contribution and legacy," Ben Boroewitsch echoes him. "The evolution is progressing at a rapid pace, and with each installment, we are continuously supporting this transformation by providing a platform for attendees to make the most of new business opportunities. The trendsetting nature of the event has fostered unique collaborations throughout the years thanks to its unparalleled networking potential."

This brings us to the new features of this edition: " Technology is a key driver for our industries’ constant development", Boroewitsch continues. "With over 90% of exhibition space already booked, a diverse array of state-of-the-art equipment will be on display across UNITI expo’s Halls. These will showcase the latest trends that are reshaping the landscape across the service station, convenience, and car wash sectors. Innovation and diversity are guaranteed for visitors interested in knowing more about pioneering smart solutions, new mobility trends, the rise of multi-energy/multi-purpose hubs, and much more",  Boroewitsch concludes. A glimpse into the future starts with the Future Mobility Lounge, "an expanded area that will play a key role in addressing the current shift to alternative fuels and the future of mobility," explains Elmar Kühn. "Educational sessions and presentations are also integral for staying ahead of the curve, providing valuable insights from renowned international professionals and forward-thinkers. These panels will delve into emerging trends and innovations poised to impact costumer behavior and shape business strategies around the world."

So what to expect from the Stuttgart event? "Attendees can expect three days full of networking opportunities, inspiring panels and exciting debates alongside leading professionals. [...] We are committed to deliver yet another memorable experience at UNITI expo, where today’s experts gather to shape the industry of tomorrow," Kühn says. " Connecting talent and opportunities is what UNITI expo excels at. For our next edition, expect an unparalleled platform for meeting top international decision-makers and unmatched business insights. Even the smallest exchange in any of our Halls can spawn the next industry-leading collaboration and drive businesses to new heights",  adds Boroewitsch.

An event that confirms its international scope, with exhibiting companies from more than 33 countries, including Australia and New Zealand, and an international visitor share of around 50 per cent of tickets already downloaded. “Gathering the most high-level and international audience of the industry remains a top priority for us. [...] I am also very excited about the quality of our currently registered visitors, hailing from more than 88 countries and still growing! Many of them represent various oil companies, which will be attending the event with larger delegations”, Boroewitsch further comments. The organisers' commitment to engage an increasingly international audience is also demonstrated by the International Forum, a meeting that will offer discussion and debate sessions on the most relevant trends and developments for the petrol station and fuel retail sector, with the possibility of following the event in English or Spanish thanks to simultaneous translation, encouraging audience participation and interaction with the speakers on stage. In addition to this space specifically dedicated to the international audience, the entire conference offering of the UNITI expo Forum will also be available in English.
