She Can Do It powered by Autopromotec returns on March 8 at the Imola Autodrome for WOW Women Motor 2026

Autopromotec Editorial Staff

Free activities on the track, workshops with companies such as Automobili Lamborghini, Ducati, and Ferrari, driving simulators, and road safety: registration is now open for experiences at the event dedicated to female empowerment in motorsport and STEM disciplines.

Experience the thrill of driving on a legendary circuit, entering the pits, participating in workshops with some of the leading automotive brands, trying out driving simulators and road safety simulators, and taking part in discussions and in-depth analysis.

This is the heart of WOW Women Motor 2026 - Women Opening Ways, scheduled for Sunday, March 8, 2026, at the Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari.

The initiative is open to everyone and is part of the International Women's Day calendar with a full day of activities combining direct experience, training, and reflection on the themes of female empowerment, gender equality, and women's access to STEM disciplines, with particular reference to the world of automotive and motorsport.

The slogan, “Women Opening Ways”, reflects the goal of promoting women's skills and professionalism, helping to overcome stereotypes that still exist in sectors that have historically been male-dominated.

WOW Women Motor will therefore be a meeting and orientation space open to the public to showcase a change already underway, which sees a growing number of women working as drivers, engineers, managers, technicians, and professionals in the innovation processes of the Italian industrial system.

Launched in 2023 in the context of Motor Valley, the project is promoted by the Municipality of Imola, Formula Imola, CON.AMI, and Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Imola, with the patronage of, among others, MUNER – Motor Valley University of Emilia-Romagna.

This year, WOW Women Motor is evolving, becoming part of an ongoing project within Imola Living Lab, thanks to a memorandum of understanding between institutions and local entities, with the aim of strengthening shared actions on female empowerment, STEM training, guidance, and inclusion over time.

During the morning, the Imola Autodrome becomes an open and inclusive space, offering the opportunity to experience the circuit from the inside through activities on the track and in the pits, experiential workshops, and training sessions aimed at a wide audience—students, families, enthusiasts, and curious onlookers.

The morning workshops are organized in collaboration with automotive and motorsport brands. In addition to Ferrari, which is participating in WOW for the third year, Ducati and Automobili Lamborghini will also be present, while the University of Bologna will run a road safety activity with a driving simulator in the brand new PITLab space. The track activities, with adrenaline-fueled hot laps in cars driven by professional drivers, will be exclusively for students. Reservations can be made on site with proof of age.

Also in the pits is ‘She can do it’: an activity promoted by Autopromotec and Gomma Viola, dedicated to women's safety while driving.

The program includes guided tours of the Autodromo, offered at a special price for women, and a parade of historic cars driven by women, organized by ASI - Automotoclub Storico Italiano, which will start from the center of Imola and travel around the circuit in the name of passion and female visibility in the world of motorsports.

The fourth edition of the photographic exhibition “Donne e Motori: Gioie e Basta” (Women and Motors: Joy and Nothing Else), curated by the Fratelli Cozzi Museum, will be on display in the Champions' Gallery, dedicated this year to the theme ‘He For She’.

Starting at 2:30 p.m., the WOW conference will feature panels, interviews, and testimonials dedicated to the theme of gender equality, addressed from the perspectives of business, academia, sports, and the local community. The Ecocert scholarship will be awarded in collaboration with MUNER - Motor Valley University of Emilia-Romagna.

The day will conclude, before the final networking aperitif, with the presentation of the WOW Awards, aimed at women who have distinguished themselves for their competence, commitment, and ability to generate a positive impact on the local area.

The WOW project will continue throughout 2026 with various initiatives and training events. The first event is scheduled for March 9, again at the Autodromo, and will feature local middle and high schools, led by BOOM, for a workshop and experiential laboratory on gender issues and STEM subjects.
