Editorial Staff

Autopromotec Conference makes a comeback in June: a two day forum with leading representatives of the automotive industry to review the rapid changes affecting the whole sector and the trends that will soon impact the aftermarket

Autopromotec Conference returns in 2018 from June 13 to 14 at the Unipol Arena in Casalecchio di Reno (Bologna) with the second edition of the State of the Industry, a series of high profile conferences centred around the need of upgrading the sector. A "window" on the future of the auto-repair and spare parts world, to promote an on-going dialogue between some of the industry’s leading companies, the territory and the institutions. Autopromotec thus seeks to confirm its commitment in analyzing future mobility trends, supporting innovation and the development of the entire supply chain.
The 2018 edition of the “Autopromotec Conference – State of the Industry” is entitled "OFFICINA (workshop) 4.0: Digitalization and new mobility trends, the future of car repair." The choice of this theme, currently a hot topic and in line with the previous edition, stems from the rapid evolution of the sector, with the rise of new automotive trends, and mobility in general.
First of all digitization, which will significantly transform the business, in terms of increasingly specialized and connected processes and professional figures, supported by new "intelligent" technologies.
The current push by both manufacturers and institutions towards electric mobility on the one hand and autonomous mobility on the other, will provide additional food for thought; this is bound to usher in  great technical innovations in terms of materials, weights, and will inevitably affects the aftermarket as well as service providers, called on to deal with new systems and standards.
Some of the sector’s leading figures, chosen among representatives of the automotive industry, whether  car makers, components and systems engineers, major international consulting firms, research institutes and universities, will highlight these new trends along with speakers from prominent European institutions and the industry’s leading associations.
