“Officina 4.0: Proof of Concept”: a window onto the future of vehicle repair works

Thanks to a thorough reading of the collected data, it will be possible to immediately establish the actual conditions of the vehicle and, if necessary, plan mechanical interventions well ahead of time. The "Officina 4.0: Proof of Concept" project, brings the Internet Of Things (IOT) right into the workshop, showing how it will improve information flow and interaction between workshops and customers.
After obtaining diagnostic data from connected vehicles, specialists will be able to proactively schedule maintenance well ahead of time, reducing vehicle down time and expanding their areas of expertise. Furthermore, the workshop’s traditional relationship with customers is bound to change quite drastically, as they will be increasingly aware of the "condition" of their vehicles, facilitating their relationship with the workshop.
The 30-minute tour will feature all the key moments of the working process such as reporting mechanical failure, booking an appointment directly through the infotainment system, prompt identification and quotation of the required spare parts, the actual repair intervention and the preferred payment system.
