Autopromotec Conference, organized and managed by Autopromotec, a highly specialized event in the Aftermarket and garage equipment panorama, is an internationally relevant trade show which hosts some of the sector’s top experts from around the world.

The upcoming edition, scheduled for the middle of June, 13 and 14, will be held at the Unipol Arena in Casalecchio di Reno, Bologna, the largest and most modern structure for events of this type in Italy.

At Autopromotec Conference 2018, new mobility trends will receive significant coverage, following the considerable changes taking place in the aftermarket sector, turning the spotlight on electric cars and autonomous vehicles. Discussions will centre on current scenarios and future opportunities; on what the supply chain as a whole as well as car manufacturers are doing and what the repercussions will be on the garage sector and services. Some of the main protagonists of the industry will be called upon to shed light on these aspects taking into account existing projects, future technological developments, possible complications related to technology and the necessary skills required to cope with them. Among the participants we will find Pietro Berardi, Vice President of Renault Nissan After-sales USA; Fedra Ribeiro, Vice President of Global OES Robert Bosch; Luigi Staccoli, Executive Vice President of Pirelli Digital Officer; Alessandro De Martino, CEO Continental Italy; Dino Domenico Brancale, CEO of AVL Italia.

Vehicle electrification is increasingly gaining ground with consumers around the world: according to estimates, by 2030 the number of electric vehicles circulating in the main automotive markets (China, Europe, United States) will reach 164 million units, with sales volumes increasing over 65 times compared to the 2.5 million units recorded in 2017. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that electric vehicles are receiving great attention by all the top players in the sector, as shown by the consistent and substantial investments made in recent years, as well as relentless technological developments, not to mention European and World directives dedicated to the issue of emissions curtailment. As a consequence, timely and accurate training courses will be ever more vital in the future, with a view to creating new job opportunities for future generations.
Turning our attention on Autonomous Mobility, much remains to be done, both in terms of technology and regulations, but this appears to be the direction in which the sector as a whole is moving. Changes in this case, are deeper and more structural, with a large number of stakeholders involved, including public institutions responsible for setting the standards regulating vehicle circulation, the use of public roads and civil liability.

The event has been scheduled for June 13 and 14 at the Unipol Arena in Casalecchio di Reno, Bologna. The preliminary draft of the program as well as information on how to participate and register are available in the following website: https://www.autopromotec.com/conference/en/
