Autopromotec and AICA at Auto Salon Tech Korea 2026: a bridge between Italy and Korea for the future of the automotive aftermarket

As part of their internationalisation strategy, Autopromotec and AICA (Italian Garage Equipment Manufactures Association) took part in Auto Salon Tech Korea 2026, one of the leading events dedicated to the automotive aftermarket in Asia.
Attending the event provided an important opportunity not only to promote Autopromotec in the Korean market, but also to foster discussion on the key challenges currently facing the sector globally. From technological evolution to the transformation of business models, right through to the new skills required by operators across the supply chain, the aim was to contribute to the dissemination of knowledge and to stimulate dialogue between different yet increasingly interconnected ecosystems.
Participation in Auto Salon Tech Korea forms part of Autopromotec’s international development strategy, which aims to strengthen relations with markets of significant interest and to create new opportunities for collaboration between businesses, associations and stakeholders. This approach finds a particularly dynamic partner in South Korea, characterised by a strong propensity for innovation and technological development.
Through its presence at the trade fair, Autopromotec sought to build a bridge between Italy and South Korea, promoting the excellence of Italian industry and showcasing the wealth of expertise, technologies and know-how that characterises the national automotive sector.
During the event, the delegation had the opportunity to present Autopromotec to representatives of the specialist press, trade associations and industry stakeholders, sharing the event’s vision and the opportunities offered by the Italian and international aftermarket.
Special thanks go to ICE – Agency for the promotion abroad and internationalisation of Italian enterprises and to ICE Seoul for the invaluable support provided in organising the initiative and setting up the Italian Pavilion, which helped to highlight the presence of Italian companies at the event.
Participation in Auto Salon Tech Korea represents a further step towards closer ties between the two countries and the start of a collaboration which we hope will result in a growing presence of Korean operators, companies and stakeholders at Autopromotec, helping to make the event an increasingly international forum for meeting, discussion and development for the entire aftermarket supply chain.
